Job Title: Senior Mechanical Engineer (Oil & Gas)

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for providing technical leadership and expertise on a wide range of challenging projects within the Oil & Gas industry. You will play a key role in the design, development, and execution of mechanical engineering solutions, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, development, and analysis of mechanical systems and equipment for Oil & Gas projects, including:
  • Pipelines and piping systems
  • Rotating equipment (pumps, compressors, turbines)
  • Pressure vessels and tanks
  • Heat exchangers
  • Structural steel design
• Perform detailed engineering calculations and analyses using industry-standard software (e.g., FEA, CFD).
• Develop and review P&IDs, equipment specifications, and datasheets.
• Conduct HAZOP studies and other risk assessments.
• Oversee the procurement, fabrication, and installation of mechanical equipment.
• Provide technical support to construction and commissioning teams.
• Ensure compliance with industry codes and standards (e.g., ASME, API, ANSI).
• Mentor and guide junior engineers.
• Stay abreast of the latest industry trends and technologies.
• Contribute to the development of innovative and cost-effective solutions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry, with a strong focus on mechanical engineering design.
• Proven experience in leading and managing engineering projects.
• Strong understanding of engineering principles, codes, and standards relevant to the Oil & Gas industry.
• Proficiency in engineering design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Plant3D, PDMS).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills.

Desired Skills:

• Experience in offshore and onshore projects.
• Knowledge of project management methodologies.
• Experience with 3D modeling and visualization software.
• Experience with HAZOP studies and other risk assessments.
• Professional engineering registration (e.g., P.E.).
